The Innovative Learning Center (ILC) partners with faculty and staff on academic research strategies and act as liaisons between Information Technology and faculty, in academic and research endeavors. By providing a complement of skilled technologists and cutting-edge technologies, the ILC is a space for exploration for faculty to experience not only what is possible in academic technology now but also prepare them for future trends in higher education and beyond.

Where to find us
The ILC is located on the 3rd floor of Howard-Tilton Memorial library. All faculty interested in exploring new tactics for delivering their lessons and assessing students are invited to visit us for a personalized consultation.
Can’t make it in person? Teach Anywhere virtual office hours are held every Monday and Thursday from 12pm – 1pm via Zoom.
Canvas LMS
Tulane University uses Canvas by Instructure as the primary learning management system (LMS). This site serves as a communication platform for Tulane specific information about Canvas and other academic tools and integrations. Please check often for additional information and updated guides.

Classroom Experience Assistants
The Classroom Experience Assistant (CEA) program is a team of Tulane students trained in instructional technologies, ranging from the classroom media equipment, such as cameras and microphones, to EdTech software, such as Zoom and Canvas. CEAs provide on demand support for faculty with issues in and out of the classroom. Need assistance in your classroom? Place a request at cear.tulane.edu.
ILC IDEA Lab
The ILC IDEA Lab is a new creative space equipped with cutting-edge technology that is open for use by Tulane faculty and staff. Located in the ILC, on the 3rd floor of Howard Tilton Memorial Library. The lab includes:
- Two high-performance Alienware Aurora R15 computers with Wacom tabelts and 3D scanners
- Adobe Creative Cloud, ArcGIS Pro. and Unreal Engine
- MakerBox Method X 3D printer

Reserve A Room
Reserve a room in the CELT+ILC Suite
Reservations are available for meetings, workshops, and small gatherings primarily designated for faculty, staff and related university programming. All requests will go through an approval process. If the desired space you requested is available on the date and time you provided you will receive a reservation confirmation within 72hrs of completing this request.
